## Around the Farm 4/18/19

There was news reported that the Rangers optioned **Kyle Bird** to Nashville and are expected to recall ***Brett Martin*** per *Evan Grant*.

Also, right-handed pitcher [***Ronny Henriquez***](https://www.baseball-reference.com/register/player.fcgi?id=henriq000ron&ref=theprospecttimes.com) was promoted to the Hickory Crawdads. I learned this from Tepid on Twitter so I went and looked him up. This kid will be 19 in June and he has amazing stats.

He played in the Dominican Summer League in 2018\. In 58 innings he allowed 10 earned runs, walked 8 and struck out 79\. He had a WHIP of 0.776 and averaged 12.3 strikeouts per 9 innings. We will certainly keep track of this progress.
