
Calling all baseball fans in Texas, Arkansas, and Missouri! Gear up for a summer filled with rising stars and sizzling plays because a brand new collegiate league is ready to steal the show – the Mid America League (MAL)!
Launching this May, the MAL brings together six teams dedicated to providing entertaining baseball. Here's a breakdown of what you can expect:
Meet the Teams
The MAL boasts a diverse group of teams ready to battle it out for the championship title. Here's the complete lineup:
- Abilene Flying Bison (Texas)
- Fort Smith Marshals (Arkansas)
- Joplin Outlaws (Missouri)
- Piney Woods (White Oak, TX) Timberhogs
- Sherman Shadow Cats (Texas)
- Texarkana (TX) - Team name to be announced soon!
A loaded schedule
Each team will face off in a grueling yet exciting 68-game schedule. Cheer on your hometown heroes during 34 home games and embark on thrilling road trips for the remaining 34. The season kicks off in late May and runs through early August, culminating in a heated playoff series to crown the first-ever MAL champion.
Up to 40-man rosters
Rosters will be up to 40 players deep of NCAA Division I, II and III, NAIA, community college and junior college players.

The MAL is committed to bringing the action to fans everywhere. Here's how you can stay on top of the game:
Video Streaming: The league is gearing up to stream ALL MAL games live this season! As of now the the streaming service will be called "Mid America League TV" and will be subscription based. The name of the service may change.
Radio is a possibility: Each team has the freedom to strike their own deals for local radio broadcasts but as of now we're not sure about radio details for any team. We will update this with any information regarding that.
NIL, Host families
The MAL goes beyond just competition. It offers players the opportunity to earn income through NIL (Name, Image, and Likeness) deals, fostering a sense of financial independence. Additionally, players will reside with local host families during the season, enriching their experience with cultural exchange and community building.
