Crawdads' Late Rally Falls Short Against Salem Red Sox in Game 1

In the bottom of the 9th, the Crawdads, sparked by a five-run surge over the last two innings, had two runners on with two outs against the Salem Red Sox. Antonis Macias battled through an eight-pitch at-bat but popped out to second base, ending the rally.
Offensive Standouts
Pablo Guerrero and Rafe Perich each tallied two hits and an RBI, while Wady Mendez and Esteban Mejia drove in two runs apiece, leading the Crawdads' offense.
Pitching Struggles
Starting pitcher Kamdyn Perry (L, 0-1) struggled, lasting three innings and allowing seven hits, eight runs (seven earned), three walks, and two strikeouts.
Reliever Jake Jekielek pitched 2.1 innings, giving up three hits, four runs, two walks, and recording two strikeouts.
