In this article, we spotlight the current power hitters leading at each level of the Texas Rangers’ minor league affiliates as of June 13, 2024.

Please note that all statistics and information provided in this article are based on the most recent data available prior to gameplay tonight.


Triple-A: Round Rock Express

Player Name: Derek Hill

  • Stats: [ 8 Home runs, 16 RBI, .659 slugging percentage, 1.046 OPS ]
  • Summary: Derek Hill, 28, played 5 games with the Texas Rangers before being outrighted back to Round Rock. In 34 games with Triple-A Round Rock, he has posted an impressive slash line of .333/.387/.659 with a 1.046 OPS. The Rangers originally signed Hill to a minor league contract on December 27, 2023.

Next, we have a three-way tie between Blaine Crim, Sandro Fabian, and Sam Huff, each with 7 home runs. Notably, Huff hasn’t hit a home run since May 9th.


Double-A: Frisco RoughRiders

Player Name: Cody Freeman

  • Stats: [ 6 Home runs, 24 RBI, .427 slugging percentage, .751 OPS ]
  • Summary: Cody Freeman, 23, has played 52 games this season, posting a slash line of .266/.324/.427 with a .751 OPS. Freeman has been one of the most consistent players in the RoughRiders lineup. His career-high in home runs is 13, achieved in 2022 while playing with the Hickory Crawdads.

Player Name: Josh Hatcher

  • Stats: [ 6 Home runs, 39 RBI, .480 slugging percentage, .831 OPS ]
  • Summary: Hatcher was named the Texas Rangers Minor League player of the month in April. In 47 games, he’s slashed a line of .311/.351/.480/.831 with 8 stolen bases. His previous career-high in HRs was in 2023 when he hit 14 between Hickory and Frisco.

High-A: Hickory Crawdads

Player Name: Alejandro Osuna

  • Stats: [ 7 Home runs, 17 RBI, .462 slugging percentage, .784 OPS ]
  • Summary: Alejandro Osuna, 21, was named the Rangers Minor League Defensive Player of the Month. In 35 games, he has posted a slash line of .258/.322/.462 with a .784 OPS. The Rangers originally signed him to a minor league contract on October 6, 2020. His previous career-high in home runs was achieved in 2022 between Down East and Hickory.

Low-A: Down East Wood Ducks

Player Name: Gleider Figuereo

  • Stats: [ 10 Home runs, 27 RBI, .472 slugging percentage, .832 OPS ]
  • Overview: Nineteen-year-old Gleider Figuereo, from the Dominican Republic, signed with the Rangers on January 15, 2021. This season, he has already hit a career-high 10 home runs. He appears to be following in the footsteps of last year’s standout, Abimelec Ortiz, as he leads the farm in home runs.

Rookie League: Arizona Complex League (ACL) Rangers

Player Name: Yeremi Cabrera

  • Stats: [ 6 Home runs, 17 RBIs, .632 slugging percentage, 1.049 OPS ]
  • Overview: Yeremi Cabrera, soon to be 19, is playing stateside for the first time this season. In 21 games, he has posted an impressive slash line of .309/.417/.632 with a 1.049 OPS and has stolen 8 bases. Last season, he hit a career-high 7 home runs while playing with the Dominican teams.

Dominican Summer League (DSL) Rangers Red and Blue

Player Name: Kleimer Lemos

  • Stats: [ 2 Home runs, 7 RBI, .893 slugging percentage, 1.441 OPS ]
  • Overview: Kleimer Lemos, 19, has only played in 6 games since the DSL season kicked off on June 3rd. He signed with the Rangers on January 15, 2022.

The HR leaders as of May 29th on the Texas Rangers farm were:

  • ~ Sam Huff (7) – Round Rock
  • ~ Cody Freeman (6) – Frisco
  • ~ Yeison Morrobel (5) – Hickory
