Today is the day that a BIG amount of Rangers fans have been waiting for! Right-handed relief pitcher, Demarcus Evans got his call from the Rangers. Evans, 23 was drafted in 2015 draft in the 25th Round from Petal Mississippi.

Additional notes on Evan (6′ 5, 265) last year between High-A Down East and AA Frisco, Demarcus went 6-0 with 12 Saves and a whopping 0.90 era. I repeat 6-0 with 12 saves and 0.90 era. In his 60 innings gave up 23 hits, issued 39 walks and struck out 100!

That was not the only Roster move the Rangers made today. OF Willie Calhoun was activated from 10-IL in 63 app he managed a .172/.206/.224 line with no home runs before his IL stint.

Rangers Optioned OF Scott Heineman back to the Alternate Training Site.

In the move that brought Demarcus up the Rangers Designated right-handed pitcher Luis Garcia for assignment! Garcia, 33, threw only 8 1/3 innings and was knocked around for 9 runs (7 earned) on 7 hits and 9 walks.

LET’S GO DEMARCUS AND LETS GO RANGERS!

I’m a diehard Dallas area sports fanatic for over 45 years. I’m living in Houston with my wonderful wife who’s also a Rangers fan! I am a dad to 4 and a Poppi to 3 wonderful grandkids! I love covering the Rangers’ minor league teams. I’m dealing with a disease called Transverse Myelitis, which limits some things but never baseball!
