A lot of Texas Rangers fans that pay attention to the farm system know Blaine Crim. For some, he falls into that grey area where you’re not sure if he’s on your radar or not. I’m here to tell you that there should be no more grey area concerning Blaine Crim.

Crim, 24, is currently playing in the Puerto Rican Winter League on the Indios de Mayaguez (13-7). Crim, who stands at 5’11, has hit at every level he’s played at from college to the Double-A Frisco RoughRiders. Now we can add the Puerto Rican Winter League to the list.

Through 20 games with the Indios de Mayaguez, he is slashing a line of .398/.446/.590/1.036 with 2 home runs and 19 RBI.

If that’s not impressive enough, he was just named the player of the week.

Between High-A Hickory and Double-A Frisco in the 2021 season, Crim hit .296/.358/.548/.906 with 29 home runs and 80 RBI. He’s got a .313 batting average including his time in this Winter League so far.

Blaine Crim won the batting title for the 2021-22 Liga de Béisbol Roberto Clemente with a .402 average.
