It was bound to happen and last night it did. The RoughRiders lost 7-2 to end their winning streak and Dustin Harris hit his first Double-A home run. It went 389 feet.
Prior to the last two games, rhe RoughRiders had scored first in all of their games. That wasn’t the case on Tuesday or last night, although they won on Tuesday.
The Naturals found the scoreboard in the top of the 2nd from a solo home run off the bat of Robbie Glendinning, his 1st home run of the season.
The RoughRiders did get that run back with Dustin Harris’ 1st home run of the season. Speaking of Harris, he has quietly put together an 8-game hitting streak.
The tied game at 1-1 didn’t last long as the Naturals put up two runs in the top of the 3rd from a 2-run home run by Nick Loftin to make a 3-1 game.
The RoughRiders got one of the runs back in the bottom of the 3rd due to a throwing error by first baseman Robbie Glendinning to make it a 3-2 game.
Unfortunately for the RoughRiders those two runs were all they would get.
The Naturals scored four more runs in the top of the 5th inning.
The winning pitcher was Drew Parrish who earned his 1st win of the season.
Avery Weems (0-1, 14.29) took the loss for the RoughRiders. He went 3 innings and allowed three runs on three hits, two walks and four strikeouts.
Tai Tiedeman (7.36) was the first one out of the pen for the Riders. He pitched two innings, allowing four runs on six hits and three walks.
Grant Anderson (3.86) allowed one hit in his three scoreless innings and struckout six.
Lucas Jacobsen (0.00) also had a scoreless outing.
