The Isotopes wasted no time putting the Express in a big hole early with a 7 spot on the board and OUR Express just couldn’t overcome it!

In his first start in a Express jersey, Robert Dugger (L,0-1) was welcomed very rudely, going only 2/3 of a inning giving up 7 runs (5 earned) on 4 hits, 2 walks, 1 strikeout and 2 homers! Dugger threw 34 pitches total – 18 strikes – 16 balls!

After a long top of the 1st, the Express put a run on the board from a Sam Huff single bringing in Jonathan Ornelas to cut the lead to 6!

Grant Anderson, who finished the 1st inning, went 2.1 innings zeros, 2 walks, 3 strikeouts. He threw 37 pitches total- 23 strikes- 14 balls!

Bottom of the 3rd

Express made a little noise with 2 outs back to back walks to Elier Hernandez and Sam Huff Sandy Leon singled in Elier making the score 7-2 that’s as close as they got.

Top 5

Kyle Cody struckout the side in the top of the 4th. He gave up back-to back home runs in the top of the 5th but settled down and went 3 innings, allowing 2 runs on 4 hits, 1 walk and 4 strikeouts.
