Express lose 5-2 from Wednesday’s suspended game

The Round Rock Express lineup was like tonight’s weather – not so good, in a 5-2 loss.

Pitcher Jake Latz, who pitched last night (Wed) went 2 innings 3 hits 1 run 1 walk 3 strikeouts before the game was suspended due to rain!

Cole Winn (L,0-1) got the start tonight and unfortunately he was just a bit wild, throwing 84 pitches- 44 strikes- 40 balls. Cole went 3.1 innings giving up 7 hits 3 runs 5 walks 4 strikeouts!

Left fielder J.P. Martinez had 2 of the Express’ 5 total hits including his 1st homer of the season.

The 2nd game that was scheduled was rained out and will be part of a double-header on Saturday April 8th!

Game 3 of this 6-game series is tomorrow at 7:05 PM Central. Left-hander LHP Cody Bradford (1-0, 0.00) will be making his 2nd start of the season.
