# Promotions: Fairbanks to Nashville, DeMarcus Evans and Barlow to Frisco

Promotions! That's ultimately what we want to see in the Farm system and we've got a few coming up.

According to Tepid and Evan Grant on Twitter, *Peter Fairbanks* is being promoted to Triple-A Nashville and *DeMarcus Evans* and *Joe Barlow* are being promoted to Double-A Frisco.

All three of these arms are something to be excited about with at least 1 being a possibility of pitching in Arlington this year. It's not far fetched at all. Let's take a closer look at each of these guys.

## Peter Fairbanks, 25

Is a right-handed pitcher who comes out of the pen. He has had 2 prior Tommy John surgeries. This season he started out in Down East, pitching 12.1 innings. He allowed 4 runs on 10 hits and walked 4 while striking out 15\. His WHIP was 1.135.

In Frisco, *Fairbanks* has pitched 7.1 innings and has been even better in his limited time. He has only allowed 2 hits while striking out 14 batters.

As you can see, he is progressing quickly through the system and we will definitely be keeping up with how he does in Nashville.

## DeMarcus Evans, 22

Is another right-handed pitcher that brings the heat. This guy is promoting quickly as well.

This season *DeMarcus* has been with the Down East Wood Ducks where he has a record of 4-0\. His earned run average stands at 0.81 as we speak and he had 6 saves on the year. In his 22.1 innings, he allowed 9 hits, 17 walks, struck out 40 with a WHIP of 1.164.

## Joe Barlow, 23

Another right-handed pitcher, who started the season with Down East. He also has a 4-0 record but has an earned run average of 0.38\. He has pitched 23.2 innings allowing only 10 hits, 1 run on a HR and struck out 44\. His WHIP is 1.056 and his strikeout average is 16.7 strikeouts per 9 innings.

As you can see from just a few numbers, these guys all have swing and miss stuff. We will be keeping track of all of them, especially *DeMarcus Evans* and [*Joe Barlow*](https://m.milb.com/milb/player/669618?ref=theprospecttimes.com) since a few of us covering the RoughRiders are local. Stay tuned.
