Frisco gets their 2nd shutout victory this week

Frisco got 7 shutout innings from Cody Bradford (W,8-6) last night in their 7-0 victory over the Missions. Cody pitched 7 innings of 3 hit baseball with 9 strikeouts.

The RoughRiders got plenty of offense from 2nd baseman Luisangel Acuna who went 3-5 with 3 RBI and was a homer away from hitting for the cycle.

The RoughRiders got 2 hits and an RBI a piece from Catcher David Garcia and left fielder Jax Biggers.

Three consecutive scoring innings for the RoughRiders started in the 3rd inning thanks to Luisangel Acuña’s 1st of 3 hits with a 2-run triple scoring Josh Stowers and Jonathan Ornelas! In the 4th inning Jax Biggers had an RBI-double double scoring Kellen Strahm.

Cody Bradford had been dealing and the RoughRiders lline-up added 4 more runs from 3 different players starting with Luisangel Acuña RBI-double then a David Garcia RBI single! Then Josh Stowers had a 2-RBI double to end the scoring.

After Cody’s 7 impressive innings it was handed off to the bullpen with Joe Corbett 1 inning with 1 strikeout followed by Triston Polley 1 inning, 2 walks and 2 strikeouts to preserve the shutout.

RoughRiders are 2-2 in this 6 game’s series game 5 tonight at 7:05 pm.
