Gonzalez Shines in Double-A Debut as RoughRiders Blank Travelers
Frisco's pitching staff threw their 7th shutout of the season - which is tied for fourth in the Texas League.

The Frisco RoughRiders grabbed a crucial 2-0 win over the Arkansas Travelers (Mariners) on Sunday, August 10, 2025, at Dickey-Stephens Park.
The win helped Frisco close out the series strong, with newly promoted RHP Jose Gonzalez shining in his Double-A debut.
Gonzalez’s High-A Success
Before the promotion from High-A Hub City, Gonzalez had a solid season, going 4-7 with a 2.83 ERA in 86 innings. He issued 18 walks, struck out 90, held opponents to a .244 average, and posted a 1.14 WHIP.
Gonzalez's Double-A Debut Performance
Gonzalez’s Double-A moment wasn’t too big for him. He pitched 5 innings, allowing 0 runs on 3 hits, with 1 walk, 1 HBP, and 3 strikeouts, generating 9 swing-and-misses on 71 pitches (48 strikes, 68%). He also had a pickoff at first base. It was a nice debut.
