Three Hickory Crawdads pitchers combined for a masterful 7-hit, 8-0 shutout victory over the Salem Red Sox. The stellar pitching, combined with the Crawdads strong showing at the plate, showcased the Crawdads’ potential in Game 3 of this 6-game series.

Scarborough and Ireland Shine on the Mound

Twenty-year-old right-hander Caden Scarborough, the Texas Rangers’ #28 prospect, set the tone with 4 innings, allowing 5 hits and striking out 6. Scarborough threw 62 pitches, 36 of them strikes.

He was relieved by 22-year-old Thomas Ireland (W, 2-1), who delivered 4 stellar innings, giving up just 1 hit, 1 walk, and recording 4 strikeouts to lock down the shutout.

Martin Leads Multi-Hit Parade
