The Hickory Crawdads dropped their third consecutive game, losing 5-2 to the Columbia Fireflies (Kansas City Royals affiliate). Over their last three games, Hickory has managed just 5 runs, and tonight’s 6 hits and 1-for-9 performance with runners in scoring position highlighted their ongoing challenges at the plate.

## Easley Battles on the Mound

Starting pitcher J’Briell Easley worked 5 innings, allowing 8 hits, 4 runs, and recording 3 strikeouts. Despite keeping the game within reach, the Crawdads’ lack of timely hitting prevented a comeback against the Fireflies.

## Porter’s Relief Effort

Reliever Brock Porter pitched 1.2 innings, giving up 1 hit, 1 run, 4 walks, and 3 strikeouts on 41 pitches (20 strikes). While Porter showed his strikeout prowess, the walks contributed to the Fireflies’ ability to maintain their lead.

## Game 3

The Hickory Crawdads look to reverse their skid in Game 3 of this 6-game series against the Columbia Fireflies. First pitch is set for 6:05 PM tomorrow, as Hickory aims to get back in the win column.
