Hickory Crawdads’ 21-year-old left-hander Mason Molina was named the Carolina League Pitcher of the Week for April 15-20, following his outstanding outing.

Acquired by the Texas Rangers from the Milwaukee Brewers in the January 2, 2025, trade for RHP Grant Anderson, Molina has quickly made his mark.

## Dominant Outing in No-Hitter Loss

On April 18 against the Charleston RiverDogs, Molina delivered a masterful performance, throwing 6 scoreless innings with 5 strikeouts, using 75 pitches (53 strikes, 22 balls). Despite his brilliance, the Crawdads fell 1-0 in a game where they combined for a no-hitter but lost due to a hit-by-pitch and a sacrifice fly.

## Molina’s 2025 Season Stats

In 3 starts, Molina holds a 0-1 record with a 3.29 ERA over 13.2 innings, striking out 17, walking 5, and limiting opponents to a .149 batting average, showcasing his command and potential.

## Crawdads’ Weekly and Season Recap

The Hickory Crawdads went 2-4 against the Charleston RiverDogs last week. For the season, the Crawdads stand at 8-7, sitting just 1 game out of first place in the Carolina League standings.

## Home Series Against Salem Red Sox

The Crawdads return home to face the Salem Red Sox in a series starting Tuesday night at 6:00 PM, aiming to build on their strong start and climb atop the leaderboard.
