The Texas Rangers’ farm system has continued to show promising talent among their pitching, and Jackson Kelley is one of the latest prospects making strides.
Recently promoted from High-A Hickory to the Double-A Frisco RoughRiders, Kelley will be a reliable option out of the bullpen for RoughRiders Manager Carlos Cardoza.
He proved that tonight after earning his first win in his first appearance with the RoughRiders
Kelley’s effectiveness, particularly against right-handed batters, has been a notable aspect of his performance.
This season, he’s held righties to a .139 batting average against (BAA), while eft-handed batters have had slightly more success, with a .182 BAA.
2024 Season Performance
Kelley has been a solid presence coming out of the bullpen this season. With Hickory, he posted a 3-0 win-loss record with a 3.00 ERA across 28 games, pitching 45 innings while giving up only 24 hits. He struckout 56 batters of the 181 batters he faced.
His command has been generally strong, with 19 walks issued and 56 strikeouts recorded.
