The Rangers are now in San Diego for a two-game series after the Padres swept the two-game series in Arlington. Hopefully, the Padres won't hit a grand slam three games in a row. That would probably set some sort of record if it happened.
The Rangers send their bona-fide ace, Lance Lynn to the mound. If anyone can help the Rangers get back on a winning streak it is Lance Lynn. He's got a 3-0 record with a 1.11 earned run average with 36 strikeouts. Lynn has started 5 games and pitched 32.1 innings which includes a complete game which the threw in his last start against the Rockies. With Trevino as the catcher, he has thrown 8 shutout innings. Right-handed batters are hitting for a .095 average while left-handed batters are hitting .121. If he continues with that tonight, it'll be a difficult game for the Padres.
The nasty Padres will send Chris Paddack to the mound. He is a right-hander and has a 2-2 record with a 4.91 ERA.
