The Mid America League is a brand new summer collegiate baseball league launching in 2024 with a focus on collegiate players.
The league will feature six teams located in Arkansas, Texas, and Missouri. There are plans to further expand into Oklahoma and Louisiana in the future.
The current teams in the Mid America League are:
- Abilene Flying Bison
- Fort Smith Marshals (AR)
- Joplin Outlaws (MO)
- White Oak Timberhogs
- Sherman Shadow Cats
- Texarkana Rhinos
Each team will play a 68-game schedule that will feature 34 home games and 34 away games.
Players have a chance to earn an income through an NIL deal and will stay with local host families during the season.

The Mid America League is gearing up for its inaugural season, and details on how fans can catch the games have emerged. In a statement to The Prospect Times, the league revealed their broadcast plans: “We are in the process of installing equipment to video stream all MAL games beginning this season. As for radio, each individual team is free to make their own local radio deal in their respective markets.”
