In what has been a big day of roster moves by the Rangers *Peter Fairbanks,* 25, a right-hander?gets a Major-League call up.

He has been dominating in each level of the Rangers farm system this season.

He pitched in Down East, Frisco and Nashville prior to getting promoted to the Majors.

His earned run average combined is 2.35\. In Nashville his ERA is 5.40 in 3.1 innings with a WHIP of 1.200\. Altogether, he has pitched 23 innings and only issued 5 walks against 36 strikeouts.

[*Peter Fairbanks*](https://theprospecttimes.com/pedro-payano-promoted/) had two Tommy John surgeries in the past and has worked with Driveline. He has touched in the upper 90's and even hit 100 with his fastball. With the Rangers needing bullpen help, he may stick at the big league level.

#### Gardewine DFA'D

*Nick Gardewine* has been designated for assignment to make room on the 40-man for *Fairbanks*. *Gardewine* pitched 4.1 scoreless innings and struck out 8 before being put on the IL.

#### Palumbo sent to Frisco

[*Palumbo*](https://www.criswellscc.com/joe-palumbo-debut/?ref=theprospecttimes.com) has been sent back down to Frisco after his MLB Debut. Even though *Palumbo* struggled in the 4th, I was impressed with his outing and have no doubt his future is in the Rangers rotation.

Rangers fans are beginning to see a glimpse of what our future looks like with *Joe Palumbo* and *Peter Fairbanks*.
