Texas Rangers pitching prospect, Kumar Rocker pitched his first professional inning in affiliated baseball.
Rocker got the start for the Surprise Saguaros, of the Arizona Fall League.
Looking at the boxscore it didn't go how any Rangers fan would've liked. One inning pitched throwing 28 pitches- nine of which were strikes.
In his inning, he got his 1st out via a flyout, then walked the next two batters, got a swinging strikeout (2nd out), then walked the bases loaded and got a groundout to get out of the two-out jam.
The good news.... it's his 1st inning since he was drafted by the Texas Rangers and he sat 96 mph on his fastball hitting up to 97. His strikeout was a swinging strikeout on a beautiful slider and he had a scoreless outing.
Kumar Rocker's revamped delivery is.....interesting.

Rangers had six players in the Saguaros game
Rocker wasn't the only Rangers player that played for the Saguaros tonight.
Left-hander Grant Wolfram pitched two scoreless innings and did he deliver. He faced 7 batters, walking one and getting all 6 outs via strikeout.
Right-hander Daniel Robert pitched 1.1 innings of relief, allowing four runs on five hits while striking out two batters.
At the plate Luisangel Acuña went 1-4 with a 2-run HR in the bottom of the 8th hitting (.333).
Cody Freeman played Catcher and went 0-1 with a walk.
The Rangers have nine players that are assigned to the Surprise Saguaros.
