Rangers Kumar Rocker wins pitcher of the week

Congratulations to Texas Rangers pitching prospect, Kumar Rocker, who was selected as the South Atlantic League Pitcher of the Week for April 10-16.
Kumar was selected by the Rangers with the 3rd overall pick in the 2022 draft.
In his first start on April 11th, Kumar (W,1-0) went 5 innings giving up only 2 hits and striking out 8. He threw 53 pitches - 42 strikes - 11 balls!
In his 2nd start, he pitched 3 innings, giving up 2 hits, 1 walk and 4 strikeouts. Kumar threw only 38 pitches - 25 strikes - 13 balls.
For the week Kumar went 8 innings, allowing 4 hits, 1 walk and 12 strikeouts. Opposing hitters have a .143 average and a 0.63 WHIP against him.
