The Frisco RoughRiders are set to kick off the 2024 season. They are deploying an all-right-handed starting rotation for their opening series against the Wichita Wind Surge (Twins).

Here’s a look at the Frisco RoughRiders’ starting rotation for their Opening Weekend series against the Wichita Wind Surge:

Friday April 5, 2024

Dane Acker (RHP, 25): Acquired from the Oakland Athletics in the offseason, Acker boasts impressive numbers from his 2023 campaign. After being reinstated from High-A Hickory’s 7-day injured list on May 24th, Acker went on to dominate across High-A and Double-A.

He pitched 21.1 innings in High-A with a stellar 2.11 ERA and 25 strikeouts before his promotion to Frisco. There, he threw another 46 innings, maintaining a solid 2.74 ERA with 51 strikeouts and he held opposing batters to a .198 average.

Saturday April 6, 2024

Emiliano Teodo (RHP, 23): Teodo brings a flamethrower’s arsenal to the table. While his 2023 regular season ERA of 4.52 in High-A Hickory might not jump off the page, Teodo turned heads in the Arizona Fall League, earning Reliever of the Year honors after tossing 11 scoreless innings with 19 strikeouts. Look for Teodo to showcase his triple-digit fastball and heat up the Frisco faithful.

Sunday April 7, 2024

Nick Krauth (RHP, 24): Despite a challenging 2023 season that saw him finish with a 5-12 record, Krauth possesses flashes of brilliance. He showcased his potential in April, registering a 2.12 ERA and a WHIP (Walks + Hits per Inning Pitched) of 1.000. If Krauth can recapture that early-season form, he could be a key contributor to the RoughRiders’ success.

The first pitch for the opening series against the Wichita Wind Surge is set for tomorrow night at 7:05 PM CT.

Fans can catch the action on MiLB.TV or potentially through an existing MLB.TV subscription. With a potent trio of righties taking the mound, the Frisco RoughRiders are poised for an electrifying opening weekend.
