The Round Rock Express fell behind early in their 6-2 loss to the Sugar Land Space Cowboys (Houston Astros affiliate) in the series opener.

Garcia Struggles on the Mound

Starting pitcher Ryan Garcia (L, 0-1) lasted 2 innings, allowing 4 hits, 5 runs, 4 walks, and 2 home runs. The early offensive surge by Sugar Land set the tone, making it difficult for Round Rock to mount a comeback.

Hauver, Barnhart, and Carter Lead Offense

The Express managed 8 hits, with Trevor Hauver, Tucker Barnhart, and Evan Carter each contributing 2 hits. Carter stood out, recording a single and a triple, but Round Rock couldn’t string together enough offense to close the gap against the Space Cowboys.
