Last night, the Round Rock Express saw five hitters record two or more hits, but it wasn’t enough in a 9-7 loss to the El Paso Chihuahuas, with Kellen Strahm as the only batter without a hit. Despite the wind blowing in at 14 mph, the Express launched three solo home runs from Ezequiel Duran (4th), Justin Foscue (5th), and Sam Haggerty (1st), keeping the game competitive.

Haggerty, Duran, and Foscue Lead Offense

Sam Haggerty paced the lineup, going 3-for-5 with a home run, a double, and 2 RBIs. Ezequiel Duran contributed 2-for-5 with a homer, a double, and 2 runs scored. Justin Foscue went 2-for-4 with a homer and 2 RBIs. Cody Freeman added a 2-for-4 performance, while Cooper Johnson, making his Triple-A debut after starting the season in Frisco, went 2-for-5 in his first appearance at this level in his six-year career.

Pitching Struggles Prove Costly

Starting pitcher Ryan Garcia labored through 4 innings, allowing 7 hits, 6 runs, 3 walks, 2 strikeouts, and 2 home runs. Reliever Peyton Gray (L, 0-1) pitched 2 innings, giving up 4 hits, 3 runs, 1 walk, and 2 strikeouts, as the Chihuahuas pulled ahead to claim the victory.
