A crowd of 5,404 witnessed the Round Rock Express (15-8) win their fifth game in a row by a final score of 8-6.
On the mound
Collin Wiles (3.54) didn’t have his best stuff today going 5 innings. He allowed five runs on ten hits, one wall and struckout two. His earned run average raised from 1.76 to 3.45.
Four pitchers combined to go four innings just giving up one run. Spencer Patton (0.00) pitched the final inning giving up one hit to nailed down save number three!
At the plate
CF Eli White got the Express on the board first with a RBI single driving in Leody Taveras and Yohel Pozo!
In the third, they were down 3-2 when Leody Taveras hit his fifth homer of the season, a 2-run shot bringing in Delino DeShields with him. That gave the Express a 4-3 lead.
Things were all tied up 4-4 in the top 4th, when Leody Taveras singled in Anderson Tejeda giving the Express the lead at 5-4.
In the top of the 7th Eli White hit his third homer of the year making the score 7-5.
In the top of the 8th Delino DeShields scored on a passed ball making the score 8-6 GOOD GUYS!
