Ryan Dorow
Has one of the top gloves in the Rangers farm system and he now brings that to Frisco. Dorow was drafted by the Rangers in the 30th round in 2017. He has spent this season with the Down East Wood Ducks. He has hit for a .265 average, .378 on-base percentage, .398 slugging. His OPS is .776 on the year and he has 8 home runs and knocked in 43 runs this year.
His career high for home runs is 12.
This season with the DEWDs he has mostly played 3rd base. He’s also played a couple of games at 2nd base, some at shortstop and has DH’d. His fielding percentage at 3rd is .979 on the year.
We will get to see his extraordinary defensive plays on a daily basis as suggested by Matt Present.
Yonny Hernandez
Hernandez, 21, has been with the Rangers organization since he was 17, playing in the Dominican Summer League. Don’t expect much power as he has only hit 3 in his career.
With Down East, he hit for an average of .298 and drove in 34 runs.? He had an Excellent on-base percentage of .426 with a slugging of .331 and an OPS of .757.
He has played 2B, SS and LF this season with the DEWDs with 2nd being his primary position. He has a Fielding Percentage of .988 at 2nd.
Join us in going out to Dr Pepper Ballpark this weekend as they play a 4-game series against Midland starting Thursday.
