Rangers announced late Monday evening that the club and Manager Bruce Bochy had agreed to mutually part ways when it came to the Rangers managerial role in 2026. It sure wasn’t the longest tenure in Rangers history, but you could argue it was surely the most meaningful and despite the lackluster finishes in 2024 and 2025, he forever will be remembered as the one who was at the help that brought us our first championship in 2023.

Bochy went 249-237 in his 3 year tenure with Texas in which as stated he led the Rangers in 2023 to their first World Series victory which will be etched into the Rangers fans hearts for the rest of their lives.

Rangers President of baseball operations Chris Young said “ Boch brought class and respect to our club in his return to the dugout and we will always take pride in being a part of his Hall of Fame career.”

Along with the parting of ways, the Rangers how ever have offered him a Role in the Front office for years to come and Chris Young also made a comment on that ” we are grateful for everything he has given to the organization over the past few seasons and hopeful he can continue to impact the Rangers for many years to come.“

It’s almost impossible to put into words just what Bruce Bochy meant to this Ranger organization in just 3 short years spent at the helm. Despite the record this year the Rangers had the best defensive season in modern ball history and also had their best statistical pitching season in Franchise history and if you don’t believe Bochy played a major role in that than you are lost.

If Bochy doesn’t take the role to go back to San Franciscoas their manager it will mark the end of a 28 year managerial career spanning across 3 teams in which we saw 2,252 Victories, 2,266 Loses, 4 World Series Titles, and countless memories made along the way between the Padres, Giants, and Rangers. Bochy is certain to have a front row seat into Cooperstown when he effectively calls it a career.

The Heavy Heavy favorite to replace Bochy at the help will be front office advisor Skip Schumaker whom the Rangers brought into their front office when he parted ways with the Miami Marlins in 2024 after winning NL manager of the year just one year prior in 2023. This will mark the end of one chapter and the start of a new one but this will be one of the most memorable chapters in Texas Rangers Baseball History.

Thank you Bruce, we love you and we will never forget you.
