The Hub City Spartanburgers got a thrilling 1-0 victory over the Greenville Drive, thanks to a dominant performance by five pitchers who combined for a shutout.

## Lopez Leads Stellar Pitching Effort

Starting pitcher Leandro Lopez (W, 1-0) set the stage, tossing 5 innings, allowing 3 hits, and striking out 8\. Lopez threw 65 pitches, 46 of them strikes, before handing the ball to the bullpen.

Relievers Mailon Felix (H, 1), Josh Mollerus (H, 1), Seth Clark (H, 1), and Wilian Bormie (S, 1) each pitched 1 inning, combining for zero hits, 2 walks, and 5 strikeouts, ensuring the Drive remained scoreless.

## Clutch Double Steal Delivers Lone Run

The Spartanburgers’ offense was quiet, managing just 3 hits, but they made the most of their opportunities. A daring double steal by Julian Brock (1st steal, advancing to second) and Gleider Figuereo (1st steal, scoring from third) produced the game’s only run, proving to be the difference in this tightly contested matchup.

## Game 2 on the Horizon

With a 1-0 series lead, the Spartanburgers look to build momentum in Game 2 of this 6-game series against the Greenville Drive.

First pitch is scheduled for 5:35 PM tomorrow night.
