The move we knew was coming is now official. The Texas Rangers have officially declined the option for starting pitcher, Corey Kluber. They pay a $1 million buyout to save $17 million. For a team focused on going young,  this move makes sense. His performance on the mound this year was going to determine the Rangers decision on his option. For a team going younger and needing to save money, this move makes plenty of sense. There is still a possibility that Kluber is brought back on a cheap 1-3 y

Rangers expected to decline Kluber option, 7 players become Free Agents

TR Sullivan tweeted out earlier today that the Rabgers are expected to decline the option on Corey Kluber. Rangers have not made official announcement on RHP Corey Kluber but the plan is to not exercise his option and possibly re-sign him to a lesser deal. — TR Sullivan (@Sullivan_Ranger) October 28, 2020 As noted in the tweet, nothing is official yet but this plan isn't a surprise at all. Is it too early for Rangers fans to panic?

The Rangers can't have anything nice, or so it seems.  The Rangers top off-season acquisition, Corey Kluber made his debut and it didn't go as we would have hoped. He only pitched one inning due to tightness in the back of his right shoulder. Not good news for the Rangers. Hopefully, it won't be a major issue and he will only miss a start or two but in this shortened season, it's a big deal. Is it too early for Rangers fans to panic? It is too early but I've got my finger hovering over the panic
