Texarkana’s Rhinos Set for Stampede in Mid-America League

Baseball fans in Texarkana can get a little more excited! The name for the Texarkana Mid-America League team name was revealed today: the Texarkana Rhinos!

The Rhinos will call Spring Lake Park home, setting up shop at historic George Dobson Field. That’s where the Texas A&M University-Texarkana Eagles play as well.

Get ready for 34 home games of exciting baseball action, with their home opener on May 31st.

The five other teams in the Mid America League are- the Abilene Flying Bison, Fort Smith Marshals, Joplin Outlaws, White Oak Timberhogs, and Sherman Shadowcats – in a tightly contested 68-game schedule.

General Manager David Gest is at the helm, building a team to compete for the championship in August.

While the ownership group is still being finalized, one thing is certain: Texarkana is ready for baseball! With a catchy name, a dedicated ballpark, and a passionate fanbase, the Texarkana Rhinos are poised to make a thunderous entrance into the Mid-America League.

Merch should be available for purchase soon since their name and logo has been revealed.
