The Texas Rangers are set to add high-upside talent to their farm system when the 2026 international signing period opens on Jan. 15 and runs through Dec. 15.

They are currently connected to two Top 50 International Prospects: Elian Rosario (No. 10) and Frandel Pineda.

Many prospects secured commitments from teams 2–4 years ago, but no deals become official until the window begins on January 15th.

Teams sharing a $6.68 million bonus pool: Atlanta Braves, Chicago Cubs, Chicago White Sox, Los Angeles Angels, Los Angeles Dodgers, Philadelphia Phillies, Texas Rangers and Washington Nationals.

Elian Rosario, OF, Dominican Republic (6-foot-2, 195 pounds)

Ranked No. 10 overall by MLB Pipeline. Baseball America slots him ninth on its international bonus board, projecting the ninth-largest bonus in the class with the Rangers as the expected destination.
Physical power hitter with triple-digit exit velocities, plus arm and corner-outfield projection. High-upside bat with athleticism and a projectable frame to bolster outfield depth.

Frandel Pineda, RHP, Dominican Republic (6-foot-2, 175 pounds)

Ranked No. 46 on MLB Pipeline’s international list. He's the nephew of former MLB pitcher Michael Pineda (64 wins, one All-Star nod, nearly 1,000 strikeouts over nine seasons).

Delivers a 92-94 mph fastball (touches 95), sharp 83-85 mph slider with strong spin, developing changeup and solid strike-throwing. Smooth, whippy arm action and leverage from a shortstop background. Lean, athletic frame with significant projection for added strength and velocity. Exciting addition to the Rangers’ deep pitching pipeline.

Santiago Ramirez, C, Venezuela

Baseball America lists him as one of its 12 breakout candidates in the 2026 international signing class. He is expected to sign with the Texas Rangers.

He has trended up to become one of the better catchers for 2026 with a promising offensive skill set. He is a righthanded hitter with reports of good plate discipline.
