The Surprise Saguars are in the win column yet again with their 5-1 win over the Javelinas and move to a league-best 9-3. One of the reasons for their success is due to the performance of Texas Rangers pitching prospect Owen White. He's made three starts for the Saguaros and they now have three wins. White is a perfect 3-0 with a 1.20 earned run average.
He has pitched five innings in each of his three starts with the Saguaros totaling 15 innings. Last night he allowed three hits, two walks for an even 1.000 WHIP and struckout five. He even had a no-hitter going through three innings
Across fifteen total innings pitched, he's allowed eight hits, five walks and struckout fourteen. He's got a 0.866 WHIP and a 3-0 record. He's been pretty dominant so far in the Arizona Fall League.
Out of the Saguaros' pen, Rangers right-hander Tim Brennan (6.75) had a scoreless outing. He walked one batter and threw a total of twelve pitches, seven of which were strikes.
The Texas Rangers prospects are handling the Arizona Fall League pretty well for the most part.
