In the Texas Rangers’ 2023 farm system, the top power hitters featured both established prospects and prospects that are rising in the ranks. Some of these players are set to shape the team’s future. Since every baseball fan loves home runs, join us as we go over the top power hitters of 2023 on the Texas Rangers farm system.

Abimelec Ortiz

Ortiz led the entire farm system, sending 33 balls into orbit between Down East and Hickory. Abimelec Ortiz, 21, has been a standout force within the Rangers’ farm system. His ability to connect with the ball consistently and deliver powerful hits positions him as a force to be reckoned with in the upcoming seasons.

Davis Wendzel

Davis Wendzel’s biggest problem over his professional career has been staying on the field. Health was not an issue in 2023. At the plate, he had his strongest season power-wise as he hit 30 home runs across 453 at bats.

Davis has a shot of being selected by another team in the upcoming Rule-5 draft as the Rangers did not protect him.

Sandro Fabian

Sandro Fabian spent the entire season with Round Rock where he slashed .288/.331/.523/.854 with 23 home runs and 78 RBI, both new career-highs for him.

Blaine Crim

Blaine Crim’s biggest knock isn’t his bat, it is being a little limited defensively. Crim, 26, slashed a line of .290/.385/.506/.891 with 22 home runs and 85 RBI.

He is currently playing in the Dominican Winter League where he has hit 2 home runs in 21 games.

Justin Foscue

Justin Foscue was just added onto the 40-man for protection from the upcoming Rule-5 draft in December.

He spent the entire season with Round Rock where he played in a career-high 122 games. He slashed .266/.394/.468/.862 with 18 home runs and 84 RBI.

Another thing that always impresses me. Foscue walked (85) more than he struckout (70).
