The Texas Rangers have three top right-handed pitching prospects who have earned spots on the American League roster for the Arizona Fall League Fall Stars Game. The game takes place this Sunday in Mesa, Arizona.
The selected pitchers are:
— Jose Corniell (RHP) — Winston Santos (RHP) — Emiliano Teodo (RHP)
Due to pitching schedules, the Rangers announced that none of them will actually participate in the game.
Corniell
Keep a close eye on Jose Corniell! The 22-year-old, who is the Rangers' No. 3 prospect. He's recorded 17 strikeouts over 15 innings pitched across four starts.
In his most recent outing on Tuesday against Salt River, Corniell showed off his swing-and-miss stuff, collecting 6 strikeouts in just 3.0 innings pitched.
Rangers fans may recognize Corniell from his brief Major League Baseball debut on September 28 against Cleveland, capping off a 2025 season where he posted a 1.89 ERA over 13 Minor League Baseball starts.
Santos and Teodo
Winston Santos, the club's No. 4 prospect, has posted 15 strikeouts in 14.1 innings pitched over four total appearances, including one start.
The 23-year-old boasts a strong career K-rate, owning a 9.7 strikeout-per-nine-innings figure over 86 career MiLB games (78 starts), all within the Texas organization dating back to 2021.
Meanwhile, Emiliano Teodo, the Rangers’ 14th-ranked prospect, is proving to be a reliable late-inning weapon.
The 24-year-old owns a fantastic 2.25 ERA and is tied for the AFL lead with 2 saves across four relief appearances for Surprise this fall. Walks (5) are still an issue for him.
Teodo carries a strong career 3.52 ERA over 106 games (50 starts) in the Rangers' system since 2021.
