Wood Ducks win their 1st game of the year 10-1!
Wood Ducks got their first ‘W’ of the season by a 10-4 final! Four Wood Ducks pitchers combined on a two-hitter while the line-up got 13 hits of their own.
Starter Aidan Curry went 3.2 innings, giving up 1 run on 1 hit, 2 walks and 7 strikeouts. Aidan was pulled after throwing 63 pitches- 37 for strikes and 26 for balls.
Aidan was replaced by Jackson Kelly (W,1-0) who had impressive outing, going 1.1 innings, giving up 1 hit and struckout 3. Jackson threw 18 pitches- 13 strikes – 5 balls.
Jackson was replaced by D.J. McCarty who went 2 innings, 1 walk, 1 strikeout followed by Adrian Rodriguez 2 innings, ZEROS with 2 strikeouts!
The Wood Ducks got a lot of offense from a couple of hitters tonight. Catcher Tucker Mitchell went 4-for-4 with 3 RBI, 3 runs scored and Danyer Cueva went 3-for-5 with 4 RBI.
