The Texas Rangers have seen enough of their first round pick (4th overall), Wyatt Langford in High-A Hickory. He is being promoted to Double-A Frisco and will join the team and be in the lineup tomorrow, Monday. The RoughRiders have of on Tuesday this week.

In his 24 games with Hickory, he slashed a line of .333/.453/.644/1.097 with 5 home runs, 15 RBI, 18 walks and 18 strikeouts. He’s also stolen 7 bases. None of that is fair to High-A pitching.

The RoughRiders could use a little more thump in their lineup since the promotion of Evan Carter just a little over a week ago. At this rate, Langford might see some time in Arlington at some point next season.
