Joc Pederson to rehab with the Frisco RoughRiders in Wichita

Texas Rangers DH Joc Pederson is inching closer to a comeback, heading to Wichita to join the Double-A Frisco RoughRiders for an MLB rehab assignment. On Wednesday, July 23, 2025, Pederson took live batting practice at Globe Life Field before the Rangers’ series finale against the Athletics, his second straight day of BP as he ramps up.
Pederson has been sidelined by Injury
Pederson’s been out of action since May 25, stuck on the 10-day IL with a fractured right hand after taking a pitch to the hand against the Chicago White Sox on May 24. Before the injury, the veteran slugger struggled, hitting just .131/.269/.238/.507 with 2 home runs and 6 RBI—a rough start compared to the high hopes Rangers fans had when he signed a two-year deal last winter.
Ready to Heat Up
With his rehab stint in Frisco, Pederson’s looking to shake off the rust and rediscover his power stroke. Rangers fans are eager to see the former All-Star get back to mashing, and his time with the RoughRiders could be the spark he needs to turn his season around.
