A lot of free baseball was played last night in Frisco! Jonathan Hernandez pitched a gem and the RoughRiders pulled out a walk-off win in the bottom of the 12th inning last night.

The first half of the game was an impressive pitchers duel. Hernandez for the Riders and Bukauskas for the Hooks both gave up only 2 hits over the first 4 innings.

Rough Riders capitalize on two mistakes by Bukauskas. He walked Cordero and Alvarez back to back. Two men on an no outs set up a double to the right center gap by Sanchez that scored both runs. Frisco takes a 2-0 lead.

Bottom of the 6th

The Riders strike again, as Beck singles up the middle and brought in by a massive homer to deep left field. The ball not only cleared the fence, but also cleared the Diamond Deck in left field. Riders up 4-0.

Top of the 8th

After pitching a gem of a game, Jonathan Hernandez is replaced by Blake Bass. Bass had a rough outing to say the least. He gave up two singles, and hit a batter to load the bases. This set up a grad slam that landed in the lazy river and tied the game at 4-4.

Top of the 10th

The Hooks took full advantage of the man starting on second Minor League rule. Durate starts the inning standing on second, and Wrenn drives him in with a double down the right field line. James Jones locked it in and got the next three batters to keep the Riders in the game, trailing 5-4.

Bottom of the 10th

Rough Riders also take advantage of minor league rules, with LeBlanc driving in Lopes with a single to the right center gap. The game now tied at 5-5, LeBlanc stole second and put the winning run in scoring position. The Hooks intentionally walk Profar and get Beck to hit a fly ball to center. Josh Altman singles into center, and LeBlanc is thrown out at the plate by a perfect throw from Dawson. The game moves forward tied at 5.

Bottom of the 12th

Christian Lopes once again starts the inning standing on second, this time waiting to score the winning run. Charles Leblanc draws a hard earned walk, bringing up Profar. He immediately hits a single in the right center gap, scoring Lopes with ease.

Rough Riders win 6-5 in 12 innings!

This was a tough, gritty, team win by a team that is on its way to securing a post season berth. Everybody contributed to this win, and kept the confidence high even when down a run in extra innings. Extra inning baseball rarely disappoints, and last night was no exception! The RoughRiders kept the fans entertained late into the night, and more importantly, delivered a great team win!
