This is the day that many Rangers fans have been waiting for. Josh Jung has started his rehab assignment. He has been cleared for all baseball activity.
Jung has officially been listed on the ACL Rangers roster in the Arizona Complex League. He is expected to serve as the DH and then start at 3rd base sometime next week.
Josh Jung is currently the Rangers 2nd ranked prospect. He's been on the IL since he had surgery in February to repair a torn labrum in his left shoulder, his non-throwing arm.
Ranger fans had expected for Jung to make his MLB debut this season. Depending on how things go in Arizona, that is still possible. It would make sense that after Arizona the Rangers send him to Triple-A Round Rock.
In 35 games at the Triple-A level last season (2021), Jung slashed a line of .348/.436/.652/1.088 with 9 home runs and 21 RBI
