Juremi Profar promoted to Triple-A Nashville.
Most people probably know him as Jurickson Profar‘s younger brother but he has been with the Rangers organization since he was 17 and playing in the Dominican Summer League in 2013.
This year, Juremi Profar has had a solid season with the Frisco RoughRiders. He has hit for a .290 average, .350 on-base percentage, .409 slugging percentage. Add up the on-base plus slugging and you have an OPS (on-base plus slugging) of .759 which is the 2nd highest of his career. In 2016 he had an OPS of .827 with High Desert.
He has played 1st, 2nd, 3rd base and also DH with most of his time at 1st base. He’s played 44 games at 1st this year and has a Fielding Percentage of .994 there.
His line leaving Frisco this year is:
.290 AVG, 5 HR, 38 RBI, 26 BB, 41 SO
In his 3 seasons in Frisco, Profar has had 1,033 at bats and hit for an average of .259 with an OBP of .306, SLG .377, and an OPS of .683.
Power-wise, Profar has hit 5 home runs this year. His career high is 13, which came in 2016 when he was 20 years old.
While I’m bummed that I won’t be seeing Profar at Dr Pepper Ballpark anymore I am certainly excited for him. We’ll be keeping an eye on what he does in Nashville.
