Being a RoughRiders Fan I’m excited about the news that Justin Foscue (#5) and Dustin Harris (#7) are coming to Frisco along with two other players. Here comes the bad news Frisco doesn’t play at home until the 17th of this month and they only have 12 home games remaining on the regular season schedule.

2B Justin Foscue 22 yr old 2020 1st round pick from Mississippi St. Josh H. Smith 24 yr old from LSU part of the Joey Gallo trade from The Yankees. Also coming LHP Juan Carlos Mejia 22 yr old from the Dominican Republic coming from Rangers ACL and finally RHP Daniel Robert 26 yr old 1st round from Auburn!

Justin Foscue has a .294 AVG, 15 home runs, 38 RBI in his first full year in High-A Hickory.

Counting all three-teams, Josh H. Smith has a .317 AVG, 10 Home runs with 31 RBI and 19 SB’s. In 9 games with Hickory he had a .295 AVG, 1 home run and 7 RBI’s .

Daniel Robert has appeared in 4 games with the Arizona Complex League Rangers and has a record of 0-0. He’s got a 5.06 earned run average in 5.1 innings and 11 Strikeouts. In his 2 years in the Rangers Minor League System Daniel is 2-1 with 5 saves and a 1.51 earned run average in 41.2 innings with 61 strikeouts.

Juan Carlos Mejia has appeared in 5 games with the Arizona Complex League Rangers. He is 1-0 with a 1.08 earned run average, 1 save. He pitched 8.1 innings and struckout 14 batters. Since 2017, he has career stats of: 19-5 record, 2.44 earned run average in 188 innings pitched. He’s struckout 150 batters and issued 32 walks.

In other Frisco roster news the following players were moved to the 7-Day Injured List due to Covid issues: RHP Blake Bass, RHP Hever Bueno, RHP Stephen Villines, LHP Sal Mendez, C Melvin Novoa. Speedy recovery to those players!
