Frisco improved to 10-2 on the season with a 12-2 win tonight over the Naturals! The RoughRiders got great pitching from 5 different pitchers. Starter Justin Slaten went four innings giving up 2 hits which were 2 homers. He was a bit wild, issuing 5 walks but also had 5 strikeouts.
Four relievers went 5 no-hit innings, issuing 3 walks with 7 strikeouts. Nick Starr (W,1-0) went 1.1 innings with 2 strikeouts!
Chase Lee continue has impressive start of the season going 1 inning 0 hits 1 walk 1 strikeout! For the season 0-0 3 saves 0.00 era! Chase has gone 6 innings 2 hits 3 walks 9 strikeouts!
On the offensive side after trailing 1-0 B/3 RoughRiders woke up and put a 7 spot on the board thanks a Diosbel Arias solo shot that traveled 405 feet and a GRAND SLAM from Justin Foscue his 1st homer of the season and his 1st career GS! Making the score 7-1 after 3 innings. His grand slam traveled 454 feet.
Leading 7-2 in the bottom of the 7th, the RoughRiders put up 5 more runs thanks to 2nd Homer from Diosbel Arias a 2 run shot! That one traveled 409 feet.
Other RoughRiders hitters that had a good night were Ezequiel Duran 2-for-5 and Jonathan Ornelas 3-for-4.
Nick Starr (1-0, 1.42) gets the win for the RoughRiders, his 1st of the season. Anthony Veneziano (0-3, 18.47) takes his 3rd loss of the season.
