The exhibition games have started for the Rangers alternate training site squad. Round Rock Express season ticket holders were at the Diamond to watch them play.
The Rangers dropped the first game against the Astros Alternate Training Site squad.
The Rangers starting lineup featured a couple of the Rangers top prospects including Anderson Tejeda, who made his MLB debut last year and power-hitting 1st baseman Curtis Terry.

The Rangers starting pitcher was left-hander Hyeon-Jong Yang. He pitched two hitless frames while striking out three.
Fellow southpaw Brett Martin came in and struck out the side on 10 pitches.
Right-hander, Nick Vincent pitched a 123 inning in the 4th.
The game was scoreless until the 6th when the Astros Centerfielder Jose Siri hit a solo home run. First baseman, Abraham Toro hit a singled and later scored on a triple by Alex De Goti.
Taylor Jones, 1B, hit a solo home run in the 9th to pad the lead a little. The Astros ended up taking game one by a final of 3-0. Rangers right hander Spencer Patton took the loss. He allowed two runs on three hits in his inning of work.
Even in a loss there are some positives to take away. One of those being, the Rangers pitching staff struck out a total of 16 batters.
At the plate the Rangers alternate training site squad tried to rally in the 9th inning. Curtis Terry and Andy Ibáñez each collected a single. Adolis Garcia worked a walk to load the bases. Astros pitcher Solis was able to escape unscathed by striking out Charles Leblanc.
The next game is set for tomorrow at 4:05 PM at Dell Diamond. Jason Bahr is set to face off against Jake Odorrizi.
