Recapping the Texas Rangers affiliates games that were played on Saturday July 19, 2025.
Frisco RoughRiders
The Frisco RoughRiders looked to get back into the win column after dropping their game the previous night.
Overall — it was an exciting night in Frisco on the field on Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles night.
RHP Jose Corniell was activated from the 60-day IL and got the start. He needed 13 pitches to get through the first inning — 9 were strikes.
He pitched two scoreless innings and registered one strikeout on a total of 23 pitches— 15 for strikes. He had 4 swing and misses.
From what I saw - he hit up to 96 mph.
RHP David Davalillo (0-1, 2.03) relieved Corniell in the 3rd. It was Davalillo's 4th appearance (3 starts) at the Double-A level. He had a strong outing and it earned him his first win at the Double-A level. His line:
— 4.2 IP — 0 R — 2 H — 2 BB — 4 SO — 64/39 strikes — 10 swing & misses
Sebastian Walcott hit his 10th HR of the season and had 2 stolen bases on the night giving him 22 SB on the season. He went 3-for-4 with a HR, 2 RBI and 2 SB with no strikeouts.

Abimelec Ortiz and Tucker Mitchell also had a multi-hit game with two hits each. Ortiz (.232) went 2-for-4 with an RBI and Mitchell went 2-for-2.
The RoughRiders are now 8-12 in the second half.
Round Rock Express
The Express had four players that registered a 2-hit game: Michael Helman, Dustin Harris, Kellen Strahm and Cooper Johnson.
Josh Jung finished 1-for-5 with a home run. That gives him a HR in back-to-back games (2-for-10).

RHP Kolton Curtis got the start against the Brooklyn Cyclones (Mets).
Curtis went 2 innings allowing one unearned run on 3 hits, 1 walk and 3 strikeouts. He threw 38 pitches — 23 for strikes (60.5%).
John Taylor has impressed me so far since he's been signed and assigned to Hub City. He tied the game with his 2nd home run of the season. He also had the game winning, walk-off hit in the bottom of the 10th — an RBI-single.
The Hub City Spartanburgers won 2-1 by walk-off for the second night in a row and improve their record to 46-42.
Hickory Crawdads
The Crawdads committed 5 errors which cost them 4 unearned runs. They lost 4-6 in 10 innings to the Charleston RiverDogs (Rays) at L.P. Frans Stadium.
RHP David Hagaman started for the Crawdads. He pitched 3 hitless innings and gave up two unearned runs, 2 walks, and 3 strikeouts on 48 pitches — 31 for strikes.
Brock Porter - has strictly been coming out of the bullpen - pitched 1.2 innings, allowing 2 runs (1 earned), 4 H, 2 BB, 1 SO. He threw 45 pitches — 26 for strikes (57%).
LHP Thomas Ireland (2.93) pitched two scoreless and hitless innings while striking out 3.
William Privette (2-3, 3.90) struckout the side in the top of the 9th but ran into trouble in the 10th. He got a groundout but walked the next two batters, got a pop out, then gave up a 2-run single.
At the plate, Antonis Macias was the only Crawdads player to have a multi-hit game. Luis Marquez went 1-for-4 with a HR (1).
The Crawdads record is 49-39.

The ACL Rangers won 11-6 against the ACL Mariners.
Braylin Morel (.271) and Josh Springer (.279) each had a 4-hit game with 2 RBI.
Kleimir Lemos went 2-for-5 with a HR (6) and 2 RBI.
The only batter that didn't record a hit was Williams Wong but he worked a walk so every batter reached base.
Angel Anazco (12.96) pitched 1/3 of an inning and was credited with the win.
They improved their record to 32-24. Boxscore.
