The Texas Rangers have promoted RHP Leandro Lopez to Double-A Frisco. Lopez has spent the entire season in High-A with the Hub City Spartanburgers.

He's been really solid sporting a 2.19 ERA in 65.2 innings pitched, which is already the most he has thrown in a season. His 1.10 WHIP is his best mark since the 2022 season when he had a 0.96 WHIP while playing in the Dominican Summer League.

Right handed batters have hit .198/.271/.290/.561 while left-handed batters haven't fared much better hitting .200/.289/.300/.589.

Leandro Lopez's repertoire includes a 5-pitch mix of a fastball, sinker, slider/cutter, curveball and a changeup.

The 23-year-old from Bonao, Dominican Republic signed as a free agent on January 15, 2021.

The jump to Double-A is often the toughest so it'll be interesting to see how Lopez responds.
