Prior to the start of the three-game series with the Los Angeles Dodgers the Texas Rangers roster moves were announced.
Roster moves
Danny Santana who just recently was activated is placed back on the 10-day IL retro to 8/27 with a right elbow sprain. Santana can't seem to catch a break with the injuries in this shortened season.
1st baseman Ronald Guzmán has been recalled from Alternate Training Site. Guzmán is my choice to be the starting 1st baseman for the Rangers. He's without a doubt, the best defensive 1st baseman we have. Guzmán has only played in one game for the Rangers this year and went 1-4 at the plate with two strikeouts.
Also Rougned Odor has been scratched from line-up with a right eye infection that apparently has been bothering him. Here's to a speedy recovery for that right eye.
