The RoughRiders dropped game three of the series to the Cardinals by a final of 9-4 despite a two home run game by Dustin Harris. The RoughRiders move to 49-44 overall and are now 13-11 in the 2nd half of the season.
Right-hander Zak Kent started for the RoughRiders and he pitched a good game. Zak went 5 innings only giving up one run on 5 hits, 2 walks and 5 strikeouts. He threw 86 pitches/48 for strikes and generated 11 swing and misses.
This was another game where the RoughRiders line-up scored 1st. Generally, when they score first they cone out on the winning side.
The RoughRiders scored a run in the top of the 1st when Dustin Harris sent a ball over the wall in right field on a 3-2 count.
The RoughRiders added two more runs in the 2nd on an RBI-double from Jax Biggers and a single off the bat of Jonathan Ornelas. Riders had a 3-0 lead.
The Cardinals were held off the scoreboard until the bottom of the 5th when Mike Antico hit his 2nd home run of the season.

Left-hander Tyler Thomas replaced Kent in the 6th. His line shows the Cardinals scored 4 runs on 3 hits, 1 walk and 3 strikeouts.
Tai Tiedemann pitched one inning and allowed 4 runs on 4 hits, including 3 home runs.
Triston Polley had the only scoreless outing giving up one walk in his inning of work.
The RoughRiders scored again in the top of the 8th thanks to a little league home run by Dustin Harris for his 2nd HR of the game.
Dustin Harris and Jax Biggers each had a multi-hit game.
Each batter except Josh Stowers had at least one hit
Harris is leading the RoughRiders in home runs with 17 on the season.
It’s worth noting that Miguel Aparicio had an outfield assist and both teams had an error-free game.
