Twenty-one-year-old outfielder Yeison Morrobel made an immediate impact in his Hub City Spartanburgers debut, arriving from the ACL Rangers and slotting into right field and the cleanup spot. Morrobel went 2-for-4 with a double and 4 RBIs, delivering a go-ahead RBI single in a 2-1 lead and a first-pitch, bases-clearing double in the 4th to extend the lead to 7-2, powering the Spartanburgers to a 7-5 victory over the Greensboro Grasshoppers.
Susac and Bormie Anchor Pitching
Starting pitcher Aidan Curry worked 4.1 innings, allowing 3 hits, 2 runs, 4 walks, and 2 strikeouts. Anthony Susac (W, 1-1) took over, tossing 1.2 scoreless innings with 1 strikeout. Wilian Bormie (S, 3) closed the game in the 9th, allowing 1 walk and striking out 2 to extinguish a late Grasshoppers rally and preserve the win.
