Frisco gets eighth shutout of the season

Last night, the Frisco RoughRiders got timely hits and great pitching in their 6-0 victory over the San Antonio Missions. It was their eighth shutout of the season. Frisco's offense got it going early in the top of the 1st thanks to a solo shot from Dustin Harris. It was his team-leading 14th home run of the season. Despite the RoughRiders hitting four home runs and Trey Hair pulling off a hidden ball trick, the RoughRiders fell to the Hooks by a final of 9-5. RoughRiders win series against Midland

The RoughRiders won 6-5 in the series finale on Sunday against the Midland RockHounds. They won the series 4-2 and move to 14-7 on the season with the best record in the Texas League. In the South Division,  they have a 3-game lead over the Amarillo Sod Poodles for an early grasp on first place. The Texas Rangers protected a few prospects from the rule-5 draft which takes place on December 10, 2020. They selected the contracts of pitchers A.J. Alexy, Yerry Rodriguez and catcher David Garcia and added them to the 40-man roster.
