Around the Farm 4/17/19 There are a couple of headlines? involving a couple of top Rangers prospects. Bubba Thompson will be out 4 weeks after surgery for his hamate bone. This is the same type of injury that Delino DeShields had last year. Down East OF Bubba Thompson has been placed on the injured list with a fractured left hamate bone. He will have surgery and be sidelined for 4 weeks. Julio Pablo Martinez has been promoted from Hickory to Down East. ? Julio Pablo Martinez promoted?to Down East Julio Pablo Martinez signed with the Rangers last year after they lost out on the Shohei Ohtani?sweepstakes. Martinez got himself a promotion and I couldn't be more excited. He is now showing on the roster for the Down East Wood Ducks. Martinez did an interview post with me and you can check it out here. Working a full-time job and having 2 boys caught up with me and I crashed earlier than normal. Nashville Sounds (2-5) The Nashville Sounds lost a tough one after they tied it up in the top of the 9th at 5-5. They lost the game in 10 innings by a final of 9-5.
